What this site is

New to Ocala publishes general information about relocating to Ocala and Marion County, Florida. Using it means accepting the terms on this page.

What it is not

Nothing here is legal, tax, insurance, financial or investment advice, and nothing here is an offer of credit or a commitment to lend. Nothing on this site creates a real estate agency relationship, a client relationship, or any duty owed to you. Reading a page, using a calculator, or sending a message through a form does not make anyone your agent.

The calculators

Every calculator on this site produces an estimate, from the numbers you enter and the published figures named on the page. They are for education. They are not quotes, not offers, not appraisals, and not tax bills.

The property tax estimator specifically: it uses the Marion County Property Appraiser — Property Tax Estimator's 2026 proposed millage rates, which can change before the tax roll is certified, and it covers ad valorem taxes only. It does not include non-ad valorem assessments, which are billed separately and vary from parcel to parcel. A real tax bill is the sum of both. Only the Property Appraiser and the Tax Collector can tell you what a specific parcel actually owes.

The payment calculators use the Freddie Mac PMMS weekly national average rate, which is a survey average and is not a rate offered to you by anybody. Your actual rate, your APR and whether you qualify at all come from a licensed loan officer.

Accuracy

This site is researched carefully and sources are cited, but figures go out of date, offices move their pages, and rules change. Nothing here is warranted to be accurate, complete or current, and you should verify anything that matters with the office that issues it before acting on it. If you find something wrong, the contact page is the fastest way to get it fixed.

Links to government offices, data sources and other third parties are provided because they are useful. This site does not control them and is not responsible for what is on them.
