Guides

Seven guides to moving to Ocala and Marion County, written from the inside of the move rather than from a brochure. Each one collects the articles on a single part of the decision, so you can read the whole of a question — what a month costs, what a neighbourhood is like, what a Florida closing involves — instead of a paragraph of it. New articles go up every month.

How these are written

Every article carries the date it was published, the date it was last updated, and a list of sources with links. Every number cites one of those sources or it is not in the article.

The area pages describe places, not people. No neighbourhood on this site is ranked against another, and schools and crime are covered by linking to the offices that publish the data rather than by summarising it here. The reasons for both are on the editorial policy page.
